Gotta Have Heart 5K

What better way to celebrate National Heart Month in February than to train your way to a 5k (3.1 miles) and boost your cardio capacity? We’ll give you the foundation to keep you safe and push your limits. This 4-week series focuses on heart-rate based training for a 5K, so we encourage you to have a heart-rate monitor available to you in class. No matter what your fitness level, you are welcome!

GET STARTED:

 Gotta Have Heart Baseline 55 (All Access)

Welcome to the starting line! You have just under an hour to go 3.1 miles (or as close as you can get to that distance) and establish your baseline and optimal heart rate training zones so you can track your improvement. All forms of cardio are welcome.

WEEKDAYS:

Feel the Beat 25

It's your weekly opportunity to improve your pace with two longer segments (plus recovery between each) and finish with your best all-out sprint to the finish line!

WEEKDAYS:

Pulse Pounder 25

Your heart & lungs will be working hard in this class, but you call the shots with what your body has to offer at more challenging paces. The party finishes with a short sprint and then you're done!

WEEKENDS:

Endurance Cardio 40

This is your event day practice class, and your job is to maintain a pace that's slightly more intense than your previous long-haul cardio class. Keep tabs on your heart rate - it'll tell you how hard you're working!

Time for your final exam - are you ready? This is where all of the knowledge and skill you've gained over the past four weeks comes together to bring you to victory over 3.1 miles. You've got this, and we're rooting for you!
